Intro

The web is one of the most important communication channels of the university. Every institute, seminar, chair, administrative department of the University of Zurich has its own website.

For the easy creation and maintenance of such a website, the University of Zurich has offered a Content Management System (CMS) since 2005, since 2014 this is Magnolia.

The web presence of the University of Zurich should be recognizable and as consistent as possible. In addition, websites must be clearly structured and easily accessible.

The corporate design (CD) ensures recognition, while the CMS supports the clear structure (usability) and accessibility.

The CMS automatically creates websites according to the the corporate web design. This implies restrictions on the design.
